My ceramic bowls are thrown on a potter’s wheel. Great care is taken in making each piece. I use clay that is specially formulated for these bowls, allowing me to easily shape their open and balanced forms. They are fired twice in the kiln. First the bisque firing makes them hard, and then I apply a glaze to the inside of the bowl. The second firing melts the glaze. This is why the interior of the bowls are smoother than the exterior. They are finished with a fine airbrush acrylic applique. The materials in the rich interiors are designed to reflect lights essence. To take care of the bowls, simply wipe off the dust with a soft cotton cloth. Harsh rubbing may scratch the surface. The bowls are decorative and not intended to hold food or water.
