                                                  How    it   All started

It all started when I was high school. My boyfriend wanted to take a fun class together and he choose a ceramics class. He didn't show up and I stayed. Right away I loved the feeling of the wet mud between my fingers and how that ball of clay on the wheel could be made into anything I wanted. (Well that was after several years.)
The rest they say is history.

These ceramic bowls are called "Prosperity Bowls" The name came from a fellow who bought one and played the lottery and won. Not the big one, but he was happy and said it brought him good luck and the name stuck.
The interiors representing our light that we all have within us and the exteriors representing our outer selves.
They also come in  24 K Gold interior finish.

I had done sculptures in metal and stone and wanted to be able to have a easy medium to express my ideas, so I started to make them out of clay. Giving me more freedom to play around with complicated forms that appear simple and elegant.

My paintings started soon after my interest in pottery.
Before starting a painting, I will stand in front of the easel and invite my muse and others in to see if they want to play as well.
I love the feeling of the painters brush gliding across the canvas, as the bristles bend and glide, saturated with thick gooey colors as soft as butter, and as easy and light as a feather. It's amazing what is reveled, layer by layer, as if by magic.
